We are a student association that dances salsa together.
Our purpose
Salsa&Söndag was started in 1999 to give students and others the chance to dance salsa and connect over a shared love of dance! We want to promote salsa dancing in Gothenburg and give more people the chance to dance and take part in Latin American dance culture. We mainly welcome members of Göta Studentkår, the student union, but everyone who loves dancing is welcome.
What we do
Everything is done by the members themselves. We sort out the venue, run the coat check and clean up afterwards, and at our member meetings we decide together what the association should do.
The income from the club nights goes back into the activities, for example parties, concerts, workshop trips, dance festivals and other things the members decide.

How to become a member
You do not need to be a member to come to the club or take a course. Membership is for those who want to help run the association, and it is free.
- You like what we do and know a little salsa.
- You help out at at least two of our events.
- You are voted in at a member meeting, where you are present yourself.
You should also be a member of Göta Studentkår. If you do not study at Göta, you can be a support member of the union. Talk to someone at the club on a Sunday or write to us.
